Message from our Minister

New Year Message 2020

As we start this New Year let us not dwell on things which have not been as we would have liked in the past one but remember all the blessings we have enjoyed, especially when those have come at times when we really needed a helping hand or a friendly voice.

This is what church families are all about – being there for each other in all circumstances. Sharing good news joyfully, caring for each other through times of illness or hardship – just being a friend; knowing when to speak and when to be silent.

We sing “what a friend we have in Jesus” and we do. He gave everything for us and yet there are times when we forget. When our lives become difficult for whatever reason, we forget that Jesus knows all about suffering and pain and emotional turmoil; injustice and prejudice followed him everywhere and he knows what it is like in our world today because he is here with us all the time, our friend, our helper and our guide.

We will all too soon begin making preparations for Easter and I will write to you again then.

If you read this on our website do join us for services or any of the activities we offer. We will be pleased to welcome you.

God bless you.
